Sisters of Hannah Prayer Ministry
Motto: “Christian women, born, shaped, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, uniting All through Prayer”
The Sisters of Hannah Prayer Ministry was formed as a result of the interest of women wanting to begin a prayer group. The purpose of our ministry is not only for women to pray with each other and for each other, but also to pray for the congregation and society in general.
The entire church, the faith community, and the un-churched are the targets of this group. Some activities will include all men, women, and children. Other activities will include all women. Our primary focus is on prayer and spiritual development to bring ALL people closer to God.
Our ministry is open to female children, youth, young adults, and women. Membership at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church is not required for participation in this ministry.
Prayer is always implemented in our lives, and by this we have chosen three main areas:
Intercessory Prayer is available for those desiring one-on-one prayer after church services and other times when members request prayer. Members of the Intercessory Prayer Group will also pray for the plans and programs of this church!
Prayer Partners is composed of women grouped in pairs to pray with each other according to their needs and desires.
Programs and Activities will plan programs and activities for the ministry. Some of the programs and activities are: a women’s Bible study, prayer training, book club, and Biblical discussion groups on issues that affect women
