The Collection Stewards ministry is responsible for the collection of financial gifts given by members and guests. Members collect the financial gifts each Sunday at the 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship service. This is an ongoing ministry and anyone who would like to join in this ministry is welcome.


The Communications ministry provides important internal and external church communication. These communications include relevant event information. We aim to communicate the written vision and mission of the church and to see that everything connected to the church is carried out in a positive way.


Communion stewards are members of the congregation who serve the communion elements to those who come forward to share in this holy meal.  We celebrate communion on the 1st Sunday of each month at each service.  No special qualifications are required to be a communion steward – other than a willingness to serve and an openness to the joy that participating in this special ministry brings.


The Evangelism ministry carries out the Great Commission as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has commanded all Christians to do. In Matthew 28:19-20, we are instructed to go and make disciples of Jesus Christ. We are committed to sharing the Gospel to those beyond the church walls, to the unchurched, those who do not know Christ, and visitors to our church campus.


The Music ministry seeks to connect people with God and to one another in weekly worship. People of all ages can find a place of growth and service within a musical group. Get involved today.


The Praise Dance Ministry is comprised of individuals who have been called to praise the Lord through music and dance.  The members of this ministry humbly offer themselves as living examples of genuine and authentic praise; Christ is glorified when they leap for joy, are moved by the spirit, and dance like David danced. You are invited to join us.


The Theatre Ministry is available to youth and adults; provides participants with an opportunity to visually present God’s Word through dramas and special events which are cutting edge and relevant to our lives today!  We seek to clearly present God’s character, ways, and plan for salvation to believers and non-believers while honing our dramatic skills.  We’re always looking for gifted, God-called people to serve as actors, directors, writers, set designers, prop experts, etc.


The Ushers’ Ministry ensures the needs and comfort of all Gods people are met at Jones Memorial.  In the usher’s ministry, it is a privilege to serve the body wherever the need arises. The responsibilities of this ministry include handing out bulletins, seating people for worship and being aware of any safety issues. We are looking for people with a desire to serve and make everyone feel welcome in the worship service.



Adult Education is to provide an environment in which intentional, biblically-based learning is the focus.  Our goal is that all our teaching, learning, and studying would help us in the process of becoming more Christ-like, connecting to others, and serving in our churches, our communities, and beyond.


The Assimilation ministry provides a welcoming, nurturing, supporting, and loving environment that assists members to become fully integrated into your new church family. The ministry explores spiritual gifts and offers support to members in the process of connecting from the time they enter into fellowship until they are members of a small group community.


The Mid-Week Bible Study ministry studies the Word of God, in both the Old and New Testament, and places great emphasis on the study of the word of God so that the people of God may live more faithful and representative lives. Mid-Week Bible Study will deepen your knowledge, love, and commitment to God, and demonstrate how each believer is called.


The Jones Memorial Area Seniors ministry (JMAS) is dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors through opportunities for fellowship, study, arts, crafts, recreational activities, and travel. The ministry encourages members to be of service to each other where and whenever possible. We meet every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Please join us.


The Marriage Ministry is focused on enhancing the quality of relationships among married and engaged couples through nurturing fellowship, improved communication, and commitment to one another. As a result of participation, couples will receive the tools needed to build strong biblical, healthy relationships. The Marriage Ministry invites you to join us as we learn to honor God and our spouses.


The Parent Council is a group of parents representing the children and young people at the church. Our Parent Council is a very flexible group. We get involved in supporting the work of the church, gather and represent parents’ views to the pastor and the church leadership. The membership of the Parent Council is made up of all parents who have a child or young person in the church.


The Singles ministry is a welcoming, nurturing ministry that encourages Christ-centered growth, service, and celebration. Together we are growing personally and spiritually, sharing God’s gifts through service, interconnecting with the larger church, and celebrating life with others.


Spiritual Formation is to know God, to be known by God and to respond to him with one’s whole life. The goal of spiritual formation is to place oneself in a position to be molded and shaped by God.



The Brown Bag ministry prepares and delivers nutritional sandwiches, fruit, and drinks to the area’s hungry, homeless, and the forgotten. You are invited to join a compassionate group of Christian people whose aim is to be a caring touch and a provider of Christ-like love to those on the streets. The Health and Wellness Ministry provides information about healthcare issues, concerns, and needs that impact the community at large. The Nursing Home ministry endeavors to improve the lives of the convalescent home residents. Our activities include addressing the (expressed) needs and desires of residents and staff. We provide clothing, personal items, entertainment, visits, and phone calls.


The Society of St. Stephens Food Pantry provides food to those who are food insecure. We provide a compassionate hand-up as we respect the dignity of those who come to the pantry for assistance. We meet the fourth Saturday of the month at 7:00 p.m. until all food has been distributed. Please join us.



The Congregational Care Ministry provides hospital and grief care visitations and calls to medically challenged members of the church.  We also provide spiritual care, prayer, scripture, and fellowship to those in need. Inspirational literature and cards are made available on a monthly basis. We meet the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Please join us.


The Family Relations ministry provides opportunities for family outings, games, relaxation, food and fun. Family night provides an opportunity for church members and their friends to fellowship with one another on a quarterly basis.


The Shepherds’ Group Ministry keeps the entire church connected by telephoning members quarterly to check on their well-being. All information is confidential and shared only with the appropriate ministry or pastor.


Prayer is perhaps the most intimate relationship one can have with God. Pray in the Spirit at all times, in every prayer and supplication. “…to that end, keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints” (Ephesians 6:18). It is important that we remain mindful of the necessity and power of prayer.
