In light of the times we are in, we are not able to be in the same space and share in this sacramental meal. You are invited to join with the community in virtual worship and participate in a Love Feast.
The Love Feast is different from holy Communion in that it is not an ordinance instituted by Jesus and commanded to us to continue. The Love Feast is scriptural, was practiced by the early church and is able to share God’s grace with all who partake. Here are some scriptures to help you locate this practice in the life of the church. Acts 2:42-47, 6:1, 20:7, I Corinthians 11:17-34, II Peter 2:13, Jude 1:12.
This is what you will need, some type of bread, crackers, etc. and some type of drink. You may plan to have your families full lunch at the conclusion of the ritual if you desire. The attachment with this email contains the liturgy so you will be able to participate on Sunday.
